Sacsayhauman Ruins and Site of Possible Observatory

This was the first place we arrived at when we walked up into Sacsayhauman.  In the center of the ruins is a round foundation that might have been the base of an observatory.  There were three channels that might have brought water and a weblike pattern of 34 lines intersects in the center.  The energy here is very powerful.

The incredible thing about this site is the construction of the parallel walls that are built in three different levels to represent the three worlds: the lower world, the middle world, and the upper world.

The walls are rounded and flow in a serpentine fashion so none of the energy is blocked.  I loved this view that shows the Christ statue echoing the walls here.

The field in the center certainly resembled some sort of landing field to me.  Being here made me realize how little we really know about ancient human history.

The images below show many of the blocks and throne-like structures we encountered here, as well as an underground alter. What an incredible experience to be walking in such an ancient environment.
